Offshore Wind Works Business Ready Program
Offshore Wind Works Business Ready is a pilot supply chain development program designed to support local businesses to enter the offshore wind and adjacent industries. Selected businesses will work closely with a team of industry experts to assess and improve their current operations and capabilities to better meet industry standards and requirements.
Selected businesses will first complete a comprehensive analysis of their business, which will be used to identify near- and long-term recommendations to boost their competitiveness and overall readiness to deliver products and services to support offshore wind and other complex projects.
This program is managed by the New Bedford Ocean Cluster (NBOC), in partnership with industry advisors and technical experts from Xodus Group, Greentree Consulting, Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, Spirit Advisory, and Browning the Green Space. The program is sponsored by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC).

What To Expect
Building on your individual assessment results, businesses then receive direct support from a team of industry advisors from Xodus Group and other technical experts. These consultants will develop a customized growth plan for each participant business. This plan will detail specific recommendations for business improvements to improve readiness for these complex projects.
Once the Growth Plan is complete, businesses will be able to select the improvements they would like to make. Through a cost-share model, MassCEC is offering financial support to cost-share with participating businesses to implement further commercial, technical and strategic consulting support to implement their highest priority business improvements.
Participation in the pilot requires dedicated time and willing information-sharing. Results of the Business Capabilities Assessment and discussions with our industry experts will not be shared with any third party or with MassCEC.
Who Should Apply
The program depends on the business’s ability to dedicate time to complete the Business Capabilities Assessment (approximately two hours to complete) and work collaboratively to review the results with our consultant teams (over three virtual conference calls).
