Gladding-Hearn Shipbuilding
Gladding-Hearn’s facilities include more than 70,000 square feet of climate-controlled fabrication space, a 600-ton marine railway with 12 feet of draft and a 220 foot long high-capacity pier. Their advanced shipbuilding processes, design, and business systems include comprehensive inventory and cost control systems, 3D CAD design and modelling, a CNC plasma cutting table, and a formal quality management system.
In 1984 Gladding-Hearn became a licensee of Incat Crowther and has delivered 42 high speed aluminum catamaran ferries for service in North America. This 36-year relationship with Incat-Crowther informs the design and production planning of Crew Transfer Vessels (CTV’s) that the company has to offer the growing US Offshore Wind Industry.
